The Department of Endocrinology, Christian Medical College Vellore has launched its official Endocrinology CMC Vellore Android app now available on the Google Play Store — users can download it to access the latest department updates, academic resources, event notifications, and educational materials on diabetes and endocrine care.

Endocrinology CMC Vellore - diabetes Training Applications are Invited for the Doctors Training Programme in Diabetes Mellitus from 23rd to 28th March, 2026 (6 days Theory and Practical sessions at CMC Vellore).

Patient Information & Guidance

When you arrive

Our endocrinology OPD is at Room 111, Ist floor of the out patient building. Please ensure that you are present at least half an hour prior to your appointment time.

On arriving at the OPD, please register with the MRO who will confirm your appointment and book you into the clinic.

Consultation Process

You will be called into the consultation room by the doctor. Please discuss your problems in detail. If you are not fluent in English or Hindi, we strongly recommend bringing a translator to help us understand your medical history accurately.

At your first visit, the doctor may order investigations or consultations. Your final treatment plan will be decided based on these reports.

Please bring the following for your consultation:

  • All previous medical records and documents.
  • Previous investigation reports and imaging scans (X-rays, MRI, etc.).
  • A complete list of all the drugs/medications you are currently taking.

This helps us arrive at a diagnosis faster and avoids repetition of expensive tests.

About the Department

The department caters to referred patients with endocrine and metabolic problems from all over India and is a tertiary care department. The annual outpatient attendance in 2025-2026 was 90,000+ clients.

We work closely with Neurosurgery, Nuclear Medicine, Reproductive Medicine, and Orthopaedics to provide comprehensive care.
