Former Professor & Head (1977 – Aug 2011)
Founded the Department of Endocrinology in 1994 and led it for over three decades, establishing it as a department of international stature in endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.

Dr. Simon Rajaratnam
Former Professor & Head (1995 – Aug 2020)
A pioneer in neuroendocrinology and pituitary disease research, Dr. Rajaratnam grew the department's academic training programme and published over 100 research papers during his tenure.
