The department of Endocrinology works in close association with the Neurosurgery units. All patients with sellar, supersellar and parasellar tumours are referred to the Endocrine Outpatient clinic. WHile in the ward these patients are periodically reviewed before and after surgery. They are then followed up in the Endocrine outpatient clinic.

Patients undergoing radiation therapy after surgery are seen in the Pituitary clinic. Department of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism runs a Pituitary clinic on Monday and Thursday afternoon. We have a weekly Neuroendocrine conference on fridays where the treatment plan for these patients is reviewed.

Our research interest has been in the Management of post operative diabetes insipidus. Evaluation and treatment of delayed hyponatremia. Long term follow up of patients treated for functioning and Non functioning pituitary tumours.
